Roles and Responsibilities As an Import Procurement Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage the organization’s Import procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services as well as maintaining positive relationships with oversea vendors. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
Import Management:
•Oversee and manage the importation process for goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
•Prepare and review all necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations).
•Coordinate with international suppliers, shipping companies, and customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance and compliance with relevant import laws and regulations.

•Track and monitor shipments from international suppliers to ensure timely arrival.
Procurement Planning:
•Manage the procurement process for materials, supplies, and equipment in alignment with the company’s needs and budget.
•Place orders and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
•Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, sales, and logistics) to forecast demand and ensure the timely availability of materials.
•Track and monitor orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any issues such as delays or discrepancies.
•Evaluate supplier performance regularly, assessing factors like delivery times, quality of products, and overall customer service. Provide feedback to suppliers to improve service or resolve issues.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
•7+ yrs experience in import purchase & sourcing of raw materials, electronic components.
•Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Knowledge of import procedures, procurement regulations, contract law, and best practices.
•Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
•Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
