Job Title: Head of Purchasing India (BU1 India Locations)

Location: – Coimbatore

Job Summary

Lead the Purchasing function across India by developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost optimization, ensuring supply continuity, and supporting business growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and ethics.

Your Contribution

• Define and build purchasing strategy with input from BU top management.
• Ensure cluster strategy implementation and alignment with BU; deploy strategy and objectives.
• Lead new cost-saving ideas with the team and ensure execution of these ideas.
• Lead sourcing decisions in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives; ensure execution of cost-reduction ideas and support VA/VE activities.
• Coordinate components for new projects; in case of escalation from Supply Chain, lead problem-solving with Supply Chain.
• Negotiate with key suppliers.
• Oversee supplier selection and contract process; manage supplier base and develop & maintain relationships with key suppliers.
