*Key Responsibilities:*
1.Ensure compliance with statutory norms such as Factories Act, Pollution Control Board, Fire & Safety regulations.
2.Liaison with government authorities (CPCB/SPCB, Factory Inspector, Fire Dept.).
3.Maintain all EHS legal documents, licenses, and records.
4.Conduct Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA/HAZOP) and implement control measures.
5.Implement Work Permit System (Hot Work, Height, Confined Space, Electrical, etc.).
6.Drive Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and safety culture initiatives.
7.Monitor unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions.
8.Lead accident/incident investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
9.Implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
10.Maintain incident records, near-miss tracking, and reporting.
11.Monitor air, water, noise, and hazardous waste management.
12.Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
13.Manage ETP/STP operations and waste disposal systems.
14.Handle hazardous chemicals and battery waste safely.
15.Conduct internal and external EHS audits (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
16.Prepare SOPs, checklists, MSDS, and compliance reports.
17.Maintain EHS MIS, dashboards, and monthly reports
18.Conduct EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
19.Organize safety campaigns (National Safety Day, Environment Day).
20.Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement culture.
21.Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans.
22.Conduct mock drills (fire, chemical spill, evacuation).
23.Ensure readiness of firefighting systems and PPEs.
24.Ensure contractor compliance with EHS standards.
25.Monitor shopfloor safety practices and PPE usage.
26.Coordinate with production, maintenance, and utility teams.
