🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔧 Product Design & Engineering

• Lead product design, engineering, validation and product lifecycle management.
• Establish engineering standards, specifications and product development frameworks.

👨‍🌾 Ease of Use & Customer Experience

• Improve product ergonomics, usability and operational simplicity.
• Develop farmer-friendly operating mechanisms and controls.

💰 Value Engineering & Cost Optimization

• Drive Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA) programs.
• Optimize design specifications, material utilization and component costs.
• Identify alternate materials and redesign opportunities.
• Improve product localization while maintaining customer value.

🛡️ Product Safety Engineering

• Develop advanced safety mechanisms and controls.
• Conduct risk assessments and design failure mode analyses.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and certifications.

⚙️ Process Engineering

• Establish robust manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Develop line balancing, tooling concepts and process controls.
• Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
• Improve production efficiency and quality through engineering interventions.

🚀 Technology & Innovation

• Identify and deploy advanced agricultural equipment technologies.
• Evaluate IoT, telematics, smart controls, sensors, automation and digital solutions.
• Benchmark global products and manufacturing technologies.
• Support Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing initiatives.

🏭 Manufacturing Support

• Work closely with Manufacturing during product industrialization.
• Support assembly line deployment and continuous improvement.
• Resolve product quality and manufacturability challenges.
• Ensure smooth transition from design to production.

🤝 Vendor Development & Localization

• Develop strategic supplier and technology partnerships.
• Qualify and develop engineering suppliers.
• Improve supplier technical capability and quality performance.
• Drive localization and cost optimization through vendor collaboration.
