Engineer – NPD MNC for Manesar Location

Job Description

*Should have good experience in Machining Like CNC Turning, VMC, and Precision*

*Key Responsibilities*

• Handle new product development activities for machined automotive and hydraulic components from sample development to mass production.

• Study customer drawings, 2D/3D models, GD&T, and technical specifications.

• Develop machining processes for components involving CNC Turning, VMC machine

• Prepare process flow charts, operation layouts, process sheets, and machining cycle-time calculations.

• Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Design teams for tooling, fixtures, gauges, and cutting tool development.

• Conduct machining trials, prototype development, and sample production as per customer requirements.

• Optimize machining parameters, cutting tools, cycle time, and manufacturing processes.

• Prepare and maintain NPD documentation, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and process validation reports.

• Ensure smooth transfer of new products from development to regular production.

• Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

*Required Technical Skills*

• Strong knowledge of CNC Turning, VMC, and Precision Machining processes.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and geometric tolerances.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, jigs, and gauges.

• Understanding of machining process planning, cycle time, and tool life optimization.

• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.

• Experience in prototype development, process validation, and production trials.

• Knowledge of CNC programming and machining parameters will be an advantage.
