Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Design (Wire Harness Layout) MNC for Gurgaon Location

Job Description

*Should have good experience in Automotive with Wiring Harness Design*

*JD*

1.Develop wire harness 3D layout based on vehicle architecture and electrical requirements.

2.Route harnesses considering packaging, clearance, bending radius, fixing points, protection and serviceability.

3.Prepare and update 2D/3D harness drawings and related design documents.

4.Coordinate with vehicle, electrical, manufacturing, CAE and customer teams for design feasibility.

5.Perform design reviews and resolve layout/interference/clearance issues.

6.Support prototype, validation and mass-production activities.

7.Implement design changes based on ECN/customer requirements.

8.Ensure compliance with applicable wire harness design standards, tolerances and design manuals.

*Technical Skills*

1.Automotive Wire Harness Layout Design experience. [Preferred MSIL /SMC ]

2.Good knowledge of 3D harness routing and vehicle packaging.

3.Experience with NX / equivalent 3D CAD. [ preferred NX ]

4.Knowledge of clips, brackets, grommets, connectors, protection tubes, tapes and fixing systems.

5.Understanding of bending radius, clearance, tolerance and harness protection.

6.Ability to read 2D drawings and vehicle layouts.

*Experience*

1.Minimum 2 years automotive experience

2.Actual wire harness layout/design experience [More than 1 Yr ]

3.Hands-on NX/CATIA 3D experience

4.Experience with vehicle harness routing

5.Good understanding of harness components & packaging

6.Drawing/BOM/ECN knowledge

7.Communication and coordination capability
