Asst. Manager – Programmer (Sliding Head Machine) MNC for Manesar Location

Job Description

*Should have good Experience in experience in Programming (Sliding Head Machine)*

*Key Responsibilities*

1.Create and optimize CNC programs for Sliding Head (Swiss Type) CNC machines.

2.Develop machining processes for new components from engineering drawings.

3.Perform machine setup, prove-out, and first-piece approval.

4.Optimize cycle time, tool life, and machine utilization.

5.Select cutting tools, guide bushes, collets, and work-holding devices.

6.Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and dimensional issues.

7.Support production during changeovers and new product introductions.

8.Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and process documentation.

9.Ensure component quality as per customer drawings and GD&T requirements.

10.Perform root cause analysis for machining defects and implement corrective actions.

11.Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Maintenance departments.

12.Monitor process capability and implement continuous improvement activities.

13.Support TPM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen initiatives.

14.Train operators and setters on new programs and machining methods.

15.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO/IATF procedures.

*Required Technical Skills*

1.Strong knowledge of Swiss-Type Sliding Head CNC machines.

2.Programming knowledge of Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.

3.Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

4.Expertise in G-Code programming.

5.Knowledge of tooling selection and cutting parameters.

6.Understanding of feeds, speeds, cycle time optimization, and tool life improvement.

7.Knowledge of precision measuring instruments: Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator, CMM (preferred)

8.Understanding of SPC, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and 7 QC Tools.

9.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S.
