Group Leader – Melting MNC for Bawal Location

Job Description

*Should have good experience in Casting & Aluminum Process*

*Key Responsibilities:*

1.Lead and supervise melting shop operators and technicians.

2.Manage daily aluminium melting production as per casting requirements.

3.Operate and monitor melting furnaces, holding furnaces, temperature control and metal transfer process.

4.Ensure correct alloy composition, chemical analysis and molten metal quality.

5.Maintain process parameters like: Furnace temperature, Metal level, Degassing process, Flux treatment, Pouring temperature

6.Monitor aluminium ingot charging, scrap handling and material consumption.

7.Coordinate with Casting, Quality and Maintenance teams for smooth production.

8.Perform shift planning and manpower allocation.

9.Ensure preventive maintenance of melting equipment with maintenance team.

10.Reduce rejection, porosity, slag formation and improve yield.

11.Maintain production records, shift reports and MIS.

12.Follow 5S, Kaizen, TPM and safety standards.

13.Train operators for SOP compliance and safe working practices.

14.Handle troubleshooting related to furnace and melting process.

*Required Skills:*

1.Knowledge of Aluminium alloy melting process.

2.Experience in LPDC/GDC aluminium wheel casting process.

3.Knowledge of furnace operation and molten metal handling.

4.Understanding of SPC, rejection analysis and process improvement.

5.Manpower handling and leadership skills.

Basic knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, 5 Why, CAPA).
